3.1 Purpose

This Cookie Policy explains how udev.forecast uses cookies and similar browser technologies on https://udevforecast.com/.

3.2 What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small files stored on a user's device. Similar technologies may include browser local storage, pixels, scripts, tags and other mechanisms that store or access information on a device.

3.3 What this website actually uses

We reviewed the udevforecast.com codebase before publishing this policy. The website does not set any cookies of its own, and its code does not read or write document.cookie, localStorage or sessionStorage.

The website loads three external resources:

  • Google Fonts (Geologica, Onest, JetBrains Mono) — loaded from Google's font CDN so the page can render its typography. This is a strictly necessary resource for displaying the page as designed; Google may process your IP address as part of delivering the font files, but this request does not set a cookie in your browser.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics — a privacy-focused, aggregate traffic-measurement script. By design, Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or any persistent client-side identifier to track visitors.
  • Google Apps Script — used only when you actively submit the Request a demo form. It is not loaded or contacted until you click Submit, and it is not used for passive tracking of your visit.

We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Yandex Metrica, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, advertising pixels, chat widgets, embedded third-party media, or any other analytics or marketing tracking technology on this website.

3.4 Consent rule

Where applicable law requires consent, non-essential analytics and marketing technologies must not be activated until the user has made a valid choice, and consent must be as easy to refuse as to accept.

Because udevforecast.com currently uses only strictly necessary and cookieless technologies as described above, we do not display a cookie consent banner. Adding one would not reflect what the site actually does. This page will be updated, and a consent mechanism will be added, if that changes.

3.5 Categories, for reference

  • Strictly necessary: technologies required for security, website functionality, network operation, form protection or storing privacy preferences.
  • Functional: technologies used to remember optional preferences, such as language or interface choices.
  • Analytics: technologies used to measure website usage and understand aggregate traffic or performance.
  • Marketing: technologies used for advertising, audience measurement, retargeting or cross-site tracking.

Of these, udevforecast.com currently uses only strictly necessary technologies (Google Fonts) and a cookieless analytics tool (Cloudflare Web Analytics). No functional or marketing cookies are set.

3.6 If this changes

If we later add non-essential analytics or marketing technologies that require consent, we will not activate them before you have made a choice, and we will provide equal-prominence Accept all, Reject non-essential and Preferences options, together with a persistent Cookie Settings control in the footer.
